The central section has been removed as some of the columns were weak.

Its removal would help to save the concert hall for a time.

Just visible is the boating pool, which was long gone by 2012.

The Argus reports that the West Pier Trust plan to have the West Pier restored by 1997.

Built in 1933. Closed as a cinema in the late 1970s, it became a Bingo Hall. This closed in 1997.
