Harry Woods was in business here from the early 1930s to the mid 1960s. Possibly only uncovered for a short period of time during renovations but good to have seen it.
A department store none of us will forget. This is one of the old doorways in East Street.
This building was originally The Gardener’s Arms pub, and owned by Smither’s Brewery. Smither’s signage was revealed briefly during renovations.

Demolition has started of the old Pink Coconut Night Club.
Built in 1933. Closed as a cinema in the late 1970s, it became a Bingo Hall. This closed in 1997.
