148 Elm Grove and corner of Arnold Street
This shop was Harmony Carpets from around 1968. It was been a vacant shop for many years and has recently been converted into housing.
219 Elm Grove – Homewoods Store
Known to most of us as Homewoods Store. Homewoods set up shop here in 1936.
74 & 76 Elm Grove
C. 1922 74 Elm Grove became Harry Ernest Taylor’s chemist, whilst number 76 (the corner) was trading as a grocers for many years previous to this.
