Herbert Cassey Hosiers were in business at 5 Gardner Street from c.1905 to the early 1960s.

In the heart of the Lanes in Meeting House Lane is this lovely advert.

The renovations of this shop have uncovered the old signage and awning of Harry Woods hosier business.

Built in 1933. Closed as a cinema in the late 1970s, it became a Bingo Hall. This closed in 1997.
