


Herbert Cassey Hosiers were in business at 5 Gardner Street from c.1905 to the early 1960s.

This plaque is to be found in the tunnel of the private gardens of Lewes Crescent.

The old signage left unpainted by the current owners. It reads ‘Family Grocer’, which was this building’s life before 1921.

Built in 1825, the Old Market originally sold meat, fish and vegetables to the residents of Brunswick Town.

Work has now commenced on controversial plans to alter the traffic flow and accessibility of the area between St. Peter’s and Pool Valley.

Days are numbered for most of the buildings along Pelham Terrace, Lewes Road.

Demolition has started of the old Pink Coconut Night Club.

Built in 1933. Closed as a cinema in the late 1970s, it became a Bingo Hall. This closed in 1997.
